Quinta de Bolivar
The Quinta
de Bolivar is a fun historic place with many activities, expositions and tours.
The Quinta de Bolivar was given to Simon Bolivar after the war of the
independence; the Quinta was damaged because of the deteriorating. After the
final victory over the Spanish, the government of New Granada acquired the
property with the purpose of giving it to the Liberator, “as a small token of
gratitude and appreciation that is constituted by the Department
of Cundinamarca so
immense benefits that it has fulfilled His
Excellency,
giving back our freedom.”
giving back our freedom.”
There are many fun activities like guided tours in
English, Scavenger hunts and commented visits. The Quinta de Bolivar is also a
green place because it’s full of beautiful flowers and vegetables of that time.
I really like The Quinta de Bolivar because of all the antiques and objects
that were used in that time even if most of them weren’t of Bolivar, I also
really like it because it shows how life was in the past and how technology has
helped the evolution of life.
